Born in Glorenza, the illustrator, caricaturist and graphic artist Paul Flora was already expressing his passion for art in satirical images when he was still young. The growth of his popularity was rapid and remarkable, spreading far beyond the German-speaking world, and one of his claims to fame was working as a caricaturist for the daily newspaper “Die Zeit”. Although he left Glorenza while he was still a child, he maintained an identity with his roots throughout his entire life and was successful in raising the profile of his hometown before finding his final resting place there in the local cemetery in 2009.
