The Mühlbach creek, diverted from the Adige river, served local tradesmen who needed water for the production or processing of their products. The Town Mill (in St.-Pankratius-Gasse 8) has recently been restored. On its rear side one can see the old water wheel, which, like the grinder, is once again fully operational. The remnants of a fresco depicting the former guild sign of the millers are recognizable on the road-side exterior wall: a mill-wheel held by two lions.
Opening hours: The town mill is open in July, August every Tuesday and Friday from 02.00 - 04.00 p.m. Entry fee: 2.00€. For more information please call +39 0473 831097 or contact info@glurnsmarketing.it
